The Benbow Youth Film Collective is your chance to join a group of young people aged 11-15 years on a journey into film. This term we will take a deep dive into film animation.

We’ll have a number of industry professionals visit us over the weeks who will share their experience and skills on topics like character development, writing for animation, technical animation skills, and recording voices and sound effects. You’ll have the chance to work on animations with other members of the groups and the sessions will end with a screening of your creations for friends and family.

Whatever your level of experience, if you are interested in animation specifically or film-making more generally, this is the course for you. You can book onto the whole 9-week term or pay in two instalments.

The course will be run by our Film Programme Learning Leader, Will Davies. Will is an experienced film maker and educator, with a specialism in sound recording. He has filmed in over 25 countries and is co-director of local production company, Whalebone Films. Joining Will over the six weeks, will be a range of industry professionals who will share their skills and experiences with you.

From 2 October to 4 December (no session on 30 Oct for half term)

Cost
£75 per nine-week course. To help spread the cost you can pay for the course in two instalments of £37.50 each.
