Lights, Camera… YOUR Story!

Are you 11-15 years with a vivid imagination or an interest in film? Reinvent a classic tale with The Bright Foundation at the Benbow Arts Space.

Choose a well-known tale and twist it—make it gothic, give it influencer drama, or turn it into something totally unexpected. On Day 1 you’ll work in groups using storytelling techniques to come up with your tale.

Over the next three days, you’ll hit the set and start filming! With guidance from real Industry Pros, you'll get creating sets, costume, lighting, camera tricks, special effects, and more.

Day 5 is all about post-production. You’ll rotate through editing and sound design workshops to bring your film to the finish line.

We’ll wrap up the week with a special screening for friends and family on Friday !

Practicalities

• You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch, or there is the option of a healthy lunch provided on site (£6 per head) bookable in advance.
• Please wear trainers and comfortable loose clothing

East Sussex Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme funded places
Thanks to DfE funding we are able to offer limited free places for families who receive benefits related free school meals. For these children, we will provide lunch and snacks each day. Please let us know if you need help with transport to and from the Benbow Arts Space. Please book these via EEQU here.
