Source to Screen: Source Park Film Takeover Day

(open to all ages)

Ever wanted to try your hand at camera operating, sound recording, and animation? Now's your chance! Come and join The Bright Foundation team at Source Park on Saturday 19th April!

What to Expect:

  • Drop in and explore filmmaking through interactive stations where you’ll rotate between different film techniques.
  • Learn from experienced filmmakers and work together to create a mini film that will be edited and shared with participants after the event.

The Stations:

  • Camera Operating with Ed Bishop: Capture dynamic action shots of skaters and riders using a handheld camera.
  • Tripod Technique with Ben Pierce: Set up and frame steady, professional shots of skaters and riders with a tripod.
  • Sound Recording with Will Davies: Explore different microphones – from contact mics to shotgun mics – to capture the perfect sound.
  • Stop-Motion Animation with Sophie Barnard: Get creative using iPads to animate BMX, skateboard, or scooter tricks in stop-motion style.

There's no need to book, just drop in!
