Creative Collaborators and Actors for a new children's theatre show (freelance)

The Bright Foundation is commissioning and producing a brand new children’s theatre show created specially for our theatre and to be performed to primary schools and groups, as well as ticketed shows for the public.

We are seeking a range of locally based creative collaborators to bring this show to life alongside our Arts and Theatre Learning Leader, Poppy Rowley. We are looking for: 

• Writer
• Designer
• Music Director / Composer
• 2 x Actors / Workshop Facilitators
• Technical Manager / Lighting Designer

Key Dates:

Script and design development: Oct/Nov 2025

Rehearsals: 12 – 30 January 2026

Performances: Wednesdays & Thursdays – Feb/Mar/Apr 2026 (plus additional public shows tbc)

Location:

Barn Theatre and Museum, Rodgers Farm, Stonestile Lane, Hastings, TN35 4PH

Fee (in the region of):

Writer - £3,500

Designer - £3,500

Composer - £1,500 - £2,500 

Technical Manager - £1,500

Actors – Creation and Rehearsals - £2,250 

Performances and Workshops - £200 p/day
