The Bright Foundation (registered charity no. 1179452) is an arts education charity founded by Academy Award winning costume designer John Bright, providing creative learning to children and young people from two venues in and around Hastings. If you make a donation online, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by a third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (for example the collection of Gift Aid). We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract you hold with us.

All our online data collection tools such as our website for registering interest in projects, Eventbrite for ticket sales, Mailchimp for email list sign-up, CAF for donations or emails for receiving other forms of data, are password protected with access limited to The Bright Foundation staff who need it to do their job.

We hold contact and demographic details and a record of your interactions with us such as workshop participation, donations, and employment.
