Benbow Youth Film Collective 2026 (11-19 year olds)

The Benbow Youth Film Collective is your chance to join a group of young people aged 11-19 years on a journey into film.

The next term’s Benbow Youth Film Collective will be exploring music videos.  We will look at some classic music videos and consider the filmmaking techniques they utilised. Following that we’ll learn how to recreate some of these techniques ourselves and finally we’ll edit our various shots together into a final video.  Expect plenty of greats guests, lots of hands-on activities, a really positive and collaborative atmosphere and loads of fun…
Oh and snacks!

You can either book onto the whole 9-week term or drop in for the sessions that are of particular interest to you.

The course will be run by our Film Programme Learning Leader, Will Davies and Guest Creative Sarah Buller.
Will is an experienced film maker and educator, with a specialism in sound recording. He has filmed in over 25 countries and is co-director of local production company, Whalebone Films.

Sarah has spent the last decade supporting young people in film and the creative industries, helping them gain qualifications, build confidence, hone their skills and showcase their work. She has delivered projects with a wide range of funders and service providers, from the GLA to the National Lottery, creating pathways for young people to develop skills and step into creative careers.
