Work experience

There is high demand for Work Experience in Hastings and Rother and so we set up opportunities through local schools and offer several work experience opportunities a year. As a small charity with a full programme, we are unfortunately unable to respond to individual requests.

The Bright Foundation is developing some new exciting programme plans for 2025-26 and we are looking for a range of roles to help deliver these plans.

National Saturday Club in Film and Screen Course Leader (freelance)

We are launching a brand new National Saturday Club in Film and Screen for 13-16 year olds who are struggling in the school environment and have low attendance rates.  We are looking for an inspirational Course Leader in Film and Screen to design and lead the weekly course. You will become part of a national network of Saturday Club tutors and benefit from training and peer support networks.

Creative Collaborators and Actors for a new children’s theatre show (freelance)

The Bright Foundation is commissioning and producing a brand new children’s theatre show created specially for our theatre and to be performed to primary schools and groups, as well as ticketed shows for the public. We are seeking a range of locally based creative collaborators to bring this show to life alongside our Arts and Theatre Learning Leader, Poppy Rowley.

Assistant Producer - Paid Internship (18-25 yrs)

Breakthrough is a 6month employability programme for 18-25 year olds run by Artswork designed as a stepping stone to workplace experience and all-important employment skills. 
The Assistant Producer will help organise and support the delivery of the creative education programmes delivered at our two venues – The Barn Theatre and Museum and the Benbow Arts Space.
