The museum showcases John’s personal collection of antique toys, puppets and model theatre sets dating from the 18th century to present day. The collection includes more than 400 puppets, 40 dolls’ houses dating from the 1850s and ten train sets, including the one that featured in the 1997 film, The Borrowers. 

Our museum is unique in that much of it isn’t behind glass so that you can get up close to the collection alongside areas for children to play.
